Abstract :
The Bandar Lampung electric power system experiences a voltage drop on the Rain feeder where this voltage drop is experienced in the 20 kV feeder so it is important in
improving the existing voltage drop for the better. In this case the voltage drop is the difference between the transmit voltage and the receiving voltage on the distribution from
the Teluk Betung Substation to the Rain feeder as the voltage to be sent. The rain feeder has a long enough distance so that there is an influence of distance on the electric power
system, resulting in a voltage loss until it reaches its tolerance limit. The method used is Newton Raphson in the power flow feature in the Power System Analysis application,
making it easy to find out the voltage drop 16,38 kV of bus 347 so that the voltage drop to 18,04 kV can be corrected by installing a capacitor on busbar 5 with a capacitor value
of 1175 kVAR, on busbar 99 it has a capacitor value of 975 kVAR, busbar 111 has a capacitor value of 970 kVAR, Busbar 144 has a capacitor value of 697 kVAR, busbar 256 has a capacitor value of 286 kVAR and for busbar 307 it has a large capacitor of 242
kVAR. With the presence of a capacitor so that it supplies reactive power which results in low voltage drop correction or is still within the tolerance limit.
