Abstract :
The electric power system must be able to distribute electrical energy reliably and safely both under normal conditions and interference conditions in the form of system elements that are detached or out of the system. Thus, to meet these needs, a power system security analysis is needed that aims to see how the reliability and security of the system when there is a disruption occurs. The analysis used in this study is contingency analysis which is a way of testing the system or modeling the system in any disturbance that occurs. The purpose of this study was to conduct contingency analysis on transmission delivery of 150 kV Aceh Subsystem with Newton Raphson method and Index Performance assisted by DigSILENT PowerFactory 15.1 software. From the results of the analysis using newton raphson method and index performance, the results for the first largest order of index performance is the Birun ? Samalanga channel of 116.675% while for buses that experience an operating permit limit is Banda Aceh of 134.5 kV, Ulee Kareng amounted to 134.6 kV and Krueng Raya by 134.6 kV and for channels that crossed the operating limit were Arun - Birun I by 82.84%, Birun - Samalanga by 64.73%, Samalanga - Sigli by 60.80%, Sigli - Jantho by 57.27% and Jantho - Banda Aceh by 54.76%. The solution carried out in this study is to do load release or load shedding in undervoltage conditions that occur in contingency 3. Load sheading is carried out on banda aceh load of 20 MVA. After the load sheadingsolution, there are no buses that experience undervoltage, namely Banda Aceh bus 138.2 kV, Ulee Kareng 138.1 kV and Krueng Raya 138.1 kV. For overload conditions, the solution of reducing generating power, where the reduced generating power is a plant that plays a big role in pumping the channel. The generation power reduction solution is carried out in contingency 1 and contingency 2. For contingency 1 reduction of generating power is carried out at PLTMG Arun 1 of 5.25 MW perunit and for contingency 2 reduction of plant power is carried out at PLTMG Arun 1 of 2.75 MW perunit. The result of the power reduction solution resulted in the absence of overloaded channels namely Arun channel ? Birun I 49.08 %, Birun ? Samalanga 47.41 % and Samalangan ? Sigli 43.55%.
