Abstract :
This final project research aims to determine how much the load imbalance, loading, the state after the load is balanced and the efficiency value on one of the transformers contained in the Alba Feeder at PT. PLN (Persero) UID Lampung UP3 Tanjung Karang. This type of research is quantitative research because the real time data measurement of transformer loading uses research instruments and the data analysis is quantitative/statistical. The research data was obtained by documentation technique and literature study. This study took a sample of one of the transformers at the KRGK 0448 substation which experienced a load imbalance exceeding 23% of the total transformer loading percentage with a transformer efficiency level of 98.83%. Where it is known that the percentage efficiency of the transformer will be better if the difference between the input power and the output power does not have a large enough difference. The difference between the input and output power is influenced by the amount of losses that occur due to an unbalanced load of 2.3 KW. After balancing the load in each R, S, T phase, the losses decreased by 2.1 KW and the voltage profile improved from an unbalanced state of 0.9752 pu to 0.9754 pu after a balanced load state. To analyze the effect of load imbalance on the transformer and transformer efficiency, it can be seen that the greater the percentage of transformer imbalance, the greater the value of the neutral current generated which results in losses and makes the percentage of transformer efficiency decrease.
