Abstract :
Current Transformer is a tool used to transform large currents from the primary side to the secondary side, so that current transformers can be used as tools for more accurate
measurements and as protection to prevent excessively large current flows. Ratio errors and transformer saturation can result in a repeat or error during electrical energy measurement, so
that the current transformer no longer meets the measurement standards used. The life of the current transformer also affects the characteristics of the tool, so it is necessary to conduct
regular testing and maintenance. To solve the problems found, this study aims to analyze the test results of 0.2s class current transformer with a ratio of 10/5 A in the condition of the
current transformer before operation and after approximately 2 years of use to the characteristics of ratio and excitation using a CT-Analyzer test tool. The measurement current transformer test data is adjusted to the standard used i.e. IEC 60044-1. . Test of the ratio of the measurement current transformer after approximately 2 years of use still has errors of 0.07% to 0.09%. The saturation point of the current transformer still qualifies i.e. the saturated point value of the transformer (Vk) is greater than the saturation of the transformer core (Vs). In phase R after approximately 2 years of use the value of Vk (7,906 V) > Vs (4.8003 V) and shows a linear excitation curve in each phase.
