Abstract :
The operation of the Belitung electrical system must have good frequency quality, which is within normal limits. The system frequency must be considered within the tolerance limit of ±0.5Hz so that the quality of the power supply in the electric power system is optimal. One of the causes of a decrease in frequency in the electrical system is the occurrence of disturbances that cause a unit unit trip of a generator. System stability studies are needed to anticipate the possibility of frequency and voltage disturbances as a factor in blackouts, the strategy used is load shedding. In this research, the stability study is simulated by ETAP 16.0 with Single Line Diagram of Belitung Electric System 70kV & 20kV. The simulation used is Transient Stability with 4 different study cases. In each of these study cases, the frequency that exceeds the tolerance limit of ±0.5Hz in the 4th second occurs in the Short Circuit study case, namely 51.1Hz, in the Load Shedding study case with the largest load selection method carried out load shedding the frequency is within the limit. tolerance is 50.2Hz, in the Open Connection study case the frequency does not change and in the load shedding study case with the discharge method at outgoing substations the frequency change is within the tolerance limit of 50.2 Hz. So it can be concluded that the reconfiguration of network can be applied so that changes in frequency and voltage remain within tolerance limits
