Abstract :
The generator set that is used as a backup energy source in the generator system at the Pamaguan 8 installation needs to be maintained for its reliability. However, problems often arise because the research location is in the interior which causes the electricity supply from PLN to experience frequent blackouts, allowing the generator to operate optimally, besides that the soil pH is acidic in that area, which often causes leakage and corrosion of some generator components. Based on the type of failure obtained from the inspection results, an analysis is carried out using the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) method which describes the failure mode to minimize the possibility of failures that arise. The failure mode is obtained based on the types of failures obtained by carrying out preventive maintenance. Furthermore, the data is processed using MS. Excel to find out the value of the failure rate. After filling in the data, the data is then simulated using Reliasoft Weibull++ software. Based on the simulation results which also emphasize the value of RLA (Remaining Life Assessment), the reliability value of the DZ257-0608 generator for the next 4 years is 85%. Referring to the regulation of the ministry of ESDM no. 18 which states that an equipment must be updated every 4 years, then in accordance with the standards set by IEEE 493 that the reliability value of an equipment is 80%. So it can be concluded that the possibility of the generator is still in optimal condition within the next 4 years.
