Abstract :
Short circuit disturbances that occur in the electric power system can result in the interruption of the distribution of electricity to consumers. These disturbances can be caused by internal disturbances and external disturbances. One of the efforts to overcome the short-circuit disturbance is network maintenance, namely regular pruning of trees attached to the network at a safe distance, cleaning along the feeder network of TC 11 INC. not working properly, changing transformers at overload points and socializing to the public about the dangers of electricity and the impact of blackouts caused by these disturbance factors. It can be concluded that the actions that must be taken are routine network maintenance, replacing protection equipment that is not functioning properly. Meanwhile, the impact on the reliability index of SAIFI and SAIDI has not exceeded the predetermined limit, and the losses obtained by PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Kuala Simpang, namely the energy that is not channeled to the feeder TC 11 INC GH Pulo Tiga amounted to 3.100,16 kWh, suffered a loss of: Rp. 45.011.951,58 and TB 02 Karang Baru feeder totaling 2.131,36 kWh suffered a loss of Rp. 9.083.58,58
