Abstract :
The need for electricity sources continues to grow, where the increase must be offset by the availability of electricity sources. Renewable energy has a meaningful position to meet energy needs, because existing renewable energy sources are very abundant. Therefore, research was made to design and build a single axis solar tracking system based on Real Time Clock (RTC) with arduino-based dust sensor to maximize the performance and efficiency of solar PV. The analytical technique used is a descriptive statistical analysis technique. The analysis technique used is a descriptive statistical analysis technique, by conducting a review of technical data that occurs on solar panels using a single-shaft solar tracking system. The use of solar trackers resulted in an increase with the highest value using a tracker of 6.35 V for voltage, and 26.3 mA for current. The highest values when not using a solar tracker are 6.27 V for voltage and 25.2 mA for current. Dust thickness testing helps improve the performance and efficiency of solar panels, with the installation of dust sensors easier to maintain the cleanliness of the panels and at the same time the maintenance of the panels. Because this single shaft solar tracker is made using a mini solar panel 5 V 1.1 W, and only in the form of a prototype, it is still less useful
