ABSTRACT
Basically a heat exchanger has a basic principle that utilizes heat transfer theory when the fluid after doing the work will be cooled with another fluid having a lower temperature. The longer the Oil Cooler is used, the lower the efficiency. It is because there are several factors affecting heat transfer on the Oil Cooler. Therefore, it is necessary to review the improvement of cooling oil efficiency in Oil Cooler. To improve more optimal efficiency, then there are some things to note. By increasing the mass flow rate of cooling fluid, known to increase efficiency. Beside that, fouling factors also greatly affect the efficiency of Oil Cooler. Quality of the Oil Cooler will be increased in proportion to the decrease in the value of fouling factors. It can be proved by manual calculation. Oil Cooler used is heat exchanger shell and tube type.
