Abstract :
In this modern era, many use energy sources on earth, humans often use this energy for their respective needs such as fuel sources, but as time goes on the energy sources available on earth are increasingly running out. Therefore, humans use various ways to make alternative energy as a substitute for energy from the earth. One alternative or renewable energy that exists is in the field of solar power plants (PLTS) this plant converts energy from the sun into electrical energy, this solar power plant uses an unlimited number of energy sources from the sun. In planning the PLTS at SMA Al Azhar 06, it uses an Off grid system by installing 234 panels with a capacity of 260 WP with a total energy of 300 kWh and the total power that will be supplied by PLTS is 40420 Wh. The planning that has been done has a performance ratio value of 85%, so it can be said that it is feasible because it is more than 75% of the minimum performance ratio. This plan requires an investment of Rp.983.832.929 and the pay back period occurs in the 18th year of the 25-year project life. Then this project is also promising because it can be seen from the cost per kWh which is smaller, namely per kWh (Rp. 1078) while from PLN it is equal to (Rp.1.173) per kWh.
