Abstract :
Panel is a device used in electrical installations so that the system can work safely and reliably before being distributed to loads. This study discusses the design of low-voltage panels for electrical power distribution, because of the additional load for the DB-Mechanical Shop room, this panel is used to supply 3 phase and 1 phase electrical resources from the PLN network to the components used in PT. Sulzer Purwakarta especially at DB-Mechanical Shop. The design of this panel aims to facilitate the operation of electrical machines and as an indicator of the machine when the machine is operating or not operating. This design includes the method of calculating nominal current, current carrying strength at each load, determining panel components, component layout design, single line diagrams and box panel specifications. The calculation results obtained that the total load used in this Mechanical Shop is 123,017 Watts, the nominal load current is 233.9 A and the current carrying strength (KHA) is 292.735 A Watt. The type of cable used in this panel is NYAF 2.5 mm and the busbar used is copper (Cu) type 30 x 5 mm2 with a cross-sectional area of 150 mm and a weight of 1.35 kg/m can conduct current with a maximum of 448 A. The results of the design this can be used as a reference for the manufacture of electrical power distribution panels for PT. Sulzer Purwakarta..
