Abstract :
To reduce the occurrence of protection failures and to protect against short-circuit faults, a protection system whose sensitivity, reliability, selectivity, and speed which all depend on the accuracy in setting up the protection equipment, is required. One of the protections that must be protected the coordination is OCR and DGR protection. Due to the changes in the load and length of the network at the Bancar feeder and the Semen Port, it is necessary to evaluate the protection settings using the ETAP 16.0 software, the results of the TMS calculation for OCR and DGR relays with the time value of TMS on the Bancar feeder and Semen Port on the incoming side the TMS OCR value is 0, 11 seconds and the TMS DGR value is 0.108 seconds 45° while the setting value from PLN on the incoming side is TMS OCR = 0.15 seconds and the TMS DGR value = 0.2 seconds ?45°, then on the outgoing side the TMS OCR value is 0 .1 seconds and the value of TMS DGR is 0.099 seconds ?45° while the setting value of PLN on the outgoing side is the value of TMS OCR = 0.15 seconds and TMS DGR = 0.2 seconds ?45°. The time difference between the TMS OCR and TMS DGR settings is 0.04 seconds and 0.93 seconds, and between the calculation results settings and the existing PLN data settings causes differences in relay working time, where the calculation results settings work faster and coordinated.
