Abstract :
Power loss and voltage drop are problems that occur in the electric power system. Both of these are influenced by several parameters, including resistance current and reactance in the feeder. Because of the things mentioned, network reconfiguration can be done to minimize these losses. The results of this study present the reconfiguration of the Tissot feeder and the Topan feeder at the Sukarame Substation and Teluk Betung Substation using the Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (BPSO) method. The results of the research on the reconfiguration of the Tissot feeder were found to reduce the power loss by 3.8044 % and can improve the voltage profile from 0.97826 p.u to 0.97902 p.u. The results of the research on the Topan feeder were found to be able to reduce power losses by 4.3325% and to improve the voltage profile from 0.9849 to 0.98524 p.u. Poor loop selection during choosing intial parameter for network reconfiguration resulted in the selection of the algorithm not being able to find the best fitness function
