Abstract :
Solar radiation has a large impact on the power output of photovoltaic systems, wind speed is directly related to the cooling of the PV system which can also affect the performance of the solar panels. Changes in temperature in solar cells are caused by the temperature conditions themselves such as the influence of wind speed, as well as the environment where the solar panels are placed. Therefore, it is necessary to review the extent of its influence on the efficiency of solar panels. In this study, monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar panels were used. From the results of this calculation, it was obtained by taking data samples on June 22, 2021 because until that day showed the most stable results. The results obtained from the calculation of the average power of monocrystalline panels of 5,620 watts while the average power of polycrystalline panels is 5,145 watts. The temperature obtained that day on the monocrystalline panel was 44 °C while the polycrystalline panel was 43 °C. The effect of wind speed on solar panel efficiency which has been calculated based on calculations using linear regression method shows a correlation level of R = 0.0281 which means that only about 2.81% wind speed has an effect on solar panel efficiency. From the various aspects of the calculations that have been carried out, it is found that the efficiency of monocrystalline panels is 11.716% while that of polycrystalline panels is 10.02%. It can be concluded that based on the calculation results, the efficiency of monocrystalline panels is much better
