Abstract :
A reliability describes the proportion of service levels in providing electrical energy from the system to the customer. The electric power distribution system at PT. PLN (Persero)
UP3 Biak still often occurs blackouts due to disturbances from fallen trees, animal activities such as snakes and bad weather which results in power outages so that it will have an impact on the reliability value. By using SAIDI and SAIFI to determine the level of reliability at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Biak, then based on the standards that have been determined by the Parent Unit for Papua and West Papua with SAIDI value = 10.11 hours/customer/year and SAIFI = 9.72 times/customer/year. For this reason, periodic maintenance is carried out such as tree removal, installation of fibers, installation of takep isolators and repair of SUTM and SUTR constructions. After maintenance, there was a change in the value of SAIDI and SAIFI, namely ULP Biak City, the value of SAIDI = 0.95 hours/customer/month and SAIFI = 0.64 times/customer/month with a percentage
decrease of 88.6% and 93.8%, respectively. ULP Yumdori value SAIDI = 0.26 hours/customer/month and SAIFI = 0.12 times/customer/month with a percentage decrease of 98.03% and 99.34%. ULP Serui value SAIDI = 0.5 hours/customer/month
and SAIFI = 0.21 times/customer/month with a percentage decrease of 96.3% and 97.7%. ULP Waropen value SAIDI = 0.32 hours/customer/month and SAIFI = 0.15 times/customer/month with a percentage decrease of 85.5% and 94.9%, respectively.
