Abstract :
Renewable energy is energy whose energy resources are available continuously for a very long time because of their natural cycle. Renewable energy resources consist of wind energy, solar energy, geothermal, and others. A hybrid system is a system that utilizes renewable energy as its main source in combination with other sources, such as diesel, windmills, and others. The hybrid system combining photovoltaic solar power plants and windmills is expected to meet each other's shortcomings and be used as household electricity, especially in urban areas that require environmentally friendly energy. This study discusses the design of a solar power generation system and windmill used for household electricity, using a 2kW vertical axis windmill and 200Wp solar modules arranged in series. To find out the design of PLTS-Windmills it is necessary to have data such as wind speed and irradiation, then perform calculations to find out the results obtained such as calculation of load energy, energy of the windmill system and energy of the PLTS system, after that the system energy from PLTS-Windmills is combined. and graphed with Load energy. In the design of the PLTS-Windmill system, it produces energy of 8,928.75 Wh at 06.00 to 18.00, while the load energy is 2,117.36 Wh so that there is a residual energy that can be exported of 6,811.39 Wh.
