Abstract :
The distribution system at the Tanjung Selor 1 feeder at P.T PLN ULP Tanjung Selor uses a radial system. In some of these channels there is a voltage drop that exceeds the standard limit, according to SPLN number 7 of 1987, which is 5%. To determine the voltage drop on the feeder, it is done by calculating the voltage drop per point (section), by dividing the Tanjung Selor 1 feeder into 3 branching points. This 3 branching point division aims to see the highest voltage drop. From the results of the analysis at points A, B, and C, the calculation results at point A are 415.96 V, then at point B are 800.23 V, and at point C are 1.333.78 Volts. So the one that has the largest voltage drop is at point C, where point C has the longest line, because a network that is too long will have enough resistance, so that the energy channeled will be reduced and will be losses. The solution is to replace the cross-section of the conducting wire, because the small size of the conductor has a large resistance so that the voltage drop that occurs will be large as well. By increasing the cross-section of the conducting wire, a smaller resistance value can reduce the value of the voltage drop
