Abstract :
This research was carried out with the aim of knowing how the impact of changing the temperature value on the breakdown voltage value in transformer insulation oil when the temperature value is increased. This study also aims to determine the effect of an increase in temperature value on the viscosity value of Nynas brand transformer insulation oil, and this study also aims to determine the effect of variations in the type of electrode material used and also the shape of the electrode used. The method used is an experimental or testing method, where the subject used as research material is a mineral type transformer oil with a new state of the Nynas Nitro Libra brand. The data collection process is carried out by taking samples of
transformer oil and heating oil at a temperature of 30 °C to 60 °C and testing for three times using a test vessel that has been made. Then perform a breakdown voltage test based on the type of electrode material and the shape of the electrode. Where each type of material and shape of the electrode is tested with a set interval of 2.5mm to 10mm. The data obtained is entered into a table and represented in a graph and then analyzed how the value of the breakdown voltage is. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the Nynas brand transformer insulating oil does not meet the standards
set in the PLN (SPLN) 49-1/1992 test standard where the breakdown voltage value according to the standard is 30kV/2.5mm because the breakdown voltage value is below
minimum standard
