Abstract :
Circular of the Board of Directors of PT PLN (Persero) No.0017 (2014:8) states that the transformer has a poor health index category (overload) if the loading capacity exceeds 80% of the transformer capacity. GT.MAJ066 with a capacity of 400 kVA has a load of more than 80%. overload can damage the transformer if not noticed, especially if the load is 100% or more of its load capacity. So, an effort is made in the form of a load to the Insert Substation. MAJ077) To prove that the load is the right solution to overcome the transformer that will experience overload, because the transformer around GT.MAJ066 is not effective to take the load of GT.MAJ066 and Insertion Transformer (GT.MAJ077 installed as a preparation for the transformer that will serve the addition of new power. However, before the insertion transformer is installed, the Etap application is used to see the quality of the voltage at the Atmajaya feeder source up to the GT.MAJ066 transformer and the voltage drop is found to be 9.01% (18.198V) which is still in accordance with Standard SPLN maximum +5% and minimum -10% of nominal kV so that the insert transformer can still be installed on the Atmajaya feeder. MAJ066 displays a load percentage of 65.26% which means that the load has decreased by 18.51% of the transformer capacity is 400 kVA.
