Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to assist the inventory of goods using a QR Code to improve the current system, namely the conventional labeling of goods. The study uses the RSA algorithm (Rivest, Shamir, Adleman) for the cryptographic item code that will be placed on the QR Code. Cryptography is done to improve the validation of goods. The data used in the form of inventory data includes goods codes, names of goods, brands, types of goods, and location of goods. The cryptographic process is carried out on a web-based application by entering data inventory items will then be stored into a database and the application will do the encryption calculation of the item code. The encryption results will be placed on a QR Code that can be printed and pasted on the inventory item. The decryption process is done by scanning the QR Code on the scanner in the application, then the decryption calculation is done by the system so that inventory information can be raised. The results of this study are the RSA algorithm can encrypt and decrypt item codes with 100% accuracy through comparison of manual calculations with system calculations. Distance and angle in the QR Code scanning process can affect readings by the system.
