Abstract :
Public understanding, especially broiler chicken breeders, is relatively low while broiler chicken commodities have a very good market prospect because they are supported by product characteristics that can be accepted by all levels of Indonesian society. Starting from the scope of nutrition, how to maintain and the environment have an influence on the productivity of broilers and it is closely related to the health of broilers themselves. Effective treatment of a disease in broiler chickens requires a proper diagnosis, but chicken farmers usually only know the symptoms that occur without knowing the type of disease that attacks, so an expert system needs to be made to diagnose diseases in broiler chickens to facilitate breeders and the public in diagnosing the disease. broiler chicken. At this time, breeders confirm the diagnosis of the disease by looking at symptoms and only estimate the disease that attacks without knowing with certainty the disease suffered by broiler chickens and limited knowledge about the disease so it requires a long time to diagnose the chicken. This application uses the forward chaining method and certainty factor to diagnose diseases caused by visible symptoms. With this application, broiler breeders can find out the possibility of the disease and how to handle it.
