Abstract :
Public understanding of disease in dogs is still very low. The prospect of raising dogs is very good because it is supported by parties that can be accepted by all Indonesian people. Proper and effective treatment for dogs, especially in skin diseases, is a disease that is difficult to diagnose by carers, so there is a need for a system to diagnose skin diseases in dogs in order to make it easier for people to diagnose their own pets. At this time, pet dog owners confirm the diagnosis of the disease by looking at the symptoms and only estimate the disease without knowing with certainty the disease suffered on the dog's skin and many pet dog owners have limited knowledge of diseases which are specific to the dog's skin. This application uses a certainty factor method where this method is used to measure a person's level of confidence in a fact that is certain or uncertain. Certainty Factor will carry out a diagnostic process to calculate the certainty value for skin diseases suffered by dogs based on the symptoms they cause. With this Android-based application that can be accessed by mobile, it can make it easier for pet dog owners to find out about skin diseases in dogs
