Abstract :
The Regional Head Election (Election) is one of the contributions of the people in good state life. The election was held in order for the Regional Head to be actually elected by the people directly without intermediaries through elections. Conventional election systems cost a lot of money, a lot of energy and time. The use of paper as an election media has many weaknesses such as flammable, lost, torn or wet election papers and the recording of erroneous election results ( human error). e-voting is a system in which recording, voting or voting in elections uses information and communication technology. Existing electronic voting applies a public/symmetric key as a password on the login system on the electronic voting system for voter verification. The public/ symmetric key can be broken if the public/symmetric key is known to a non-valid voter. Biometrics is a system that utilizes unique or different parts of the human body in each person so that it is not easily broken into like a facial recognition system. The facial recognition system using the javascript face recognition API library can be applied to a web-based e-voting system that delivers 100% facial recognition accuracy based on test results from 10 training face data and 30 test data consisting of 3 test conditions namely dark, light and face facing sideways.
