Abstract :
In 2013, Indonesia ranked 10th in the number of people with diabetes mellitus in the world with 7.5 million people and if this continues, it is estimated that by 2030 people with diabetes mellitus will reach 12 million people. Application of the Certainty Factor Method to Diagnose Diabetes Mellitus to simplify the diagnosis process. The certainty factor method is used to support the expert system, where the certainty factor method is used as the calculation of each question that has been given its respective weight. The results of calculations with certainty factors are the results of the patient's diagnosis based on the symptoms the patient answered. This expert system application was created to help patients and doctors in reducing mistakes that occurred in the past by Doctors and Patients of the Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital, Palembang. This application is used by admins, doctors and patients. Testing for application feasibility uses the blackbox testing method.
