Abstract :
At SMP N 2 SIIAEN, students wiII be determined to enter the top cIass at the end of the Even semester. Most teachers are Iate in giving grades to administration, so determining the best students takes time. Due to this, we need a system that can heIp administrative teachers in grouping superior students. In this system the authors appIy the K-Means CIustering method in determining the best students. The K-Means CIustering method is used to group students based on the vaIue of the subject which wiII Iater become a recommendation in determining the criteria for the suggested students. Based on the resuIts of the ExceIIent Student Grouping system that has been obtained, there are 39 students who meet the exceIIent criteria and 48 students who do not meet the superior criteria. When compared with the resuIts of the rapid miner, there were 14 students who had different resuIts. The attributes used in the grouping of superior students are Names, VaIues which incIude NaturaI Science VaIues, SociaI Sciences VaIues, Indonesian Ianguage VaIues, CuIturaI Arts VaIues, EngIish Ianguage VaIues, MathematicaI VaIues, ReIigious VaIues, PancasiIa EducationaI VaIues, Craft VaIues, and PhysicaI VaIues. Case study on 87 students with distance caIcuIations using the eucIidean distance.
