Abstract :
This research was done with a purpose of knowing student responses related to learning media in Compilation Engineering course at Department of Informatics of IT PLN. There are two techniques of collecting data used in this study, including observation, and distributing questionnaires, with 25 students as respondents. The aplication of compilation technique simulations on the material of Parsing Tables & Linked List as learning media is quite attractive to students Informatic Engineering of IT PLN, as the results of data retrieval conducted on 25 respondents who were the research samples taken There are 64% who agree that a simulation is needed in the Compilation Engineering course, especially the Parsing Table & Linked List material. The simulation in this study was designed using Android Studio and Adobe Flash. In this research, the Sherwood-Rout method is applied which is an interactive multimedia development method. The results obtained from the compilation technique simulation on the material of the Parsing Table & Linked List in Informatic Engineering of IT PLN for respondents who were used as research samples, 86% agree that the compilation technique simulation on Parsing Table & Linked List material can increase knowledge about Compilation Techniques, especially Parsing Table & Linked List material.
