Abstract :
One of the biggest serious problem that has happened in Indonesia is always about a trash problem. The current condition of trash in Indonesia are getting bigger every time
every year the amount and the variety of trash always been increasing along with the population of the society itself. Recycling is one of the effective ways to reduce the
amount of the trash. We really have to concern some of the ways that we need to do. The first step is we have to collect the amount of trash then we can separate the variety
with the trash itself include the include the materials of the trash itself. Phone camera is one of the challenging method and also easy to use for the user. With phone camera we
can classify the trash automatically. In this research its use the algorithm from CNN (convolutional Neural Network) that has a really good performance and have a good level
of the accuracy. The process of modeling itself is done with a hard tensorflow which then this model will be converted to the tensorflow model lite for the android application. The
result of this research showed that the result train object tensorflow is 0,8396 meanwhile the validation is 0,9062. The prediction based on the phone model get 86,6% level of
accuracy, in tensorflow 83,3%. And with the phone testing is obtained the level of accuracy 80,0%. From that result, it can be develop and can be used in trash separator automatically.
