Abstract :
Climate change is a phenomenon resulting directly/indirectly from human activities. This is certainly related to global warming. One of the triggers of global warming is use of fossil fuels which have limited resources. Already many solutions/alternatives to overcome this problem, one of them entered into the era of renewable energy. In Indonesia, the utilization of renewable energy reached 8% of the total potential that can be generated by 400 GW. Fuzzy C ? Means (FCM) is one method of clustering the concept of clustering data wherein each data point in the cluster is determined by the degree of membership. Of the degrees of membership are different will form the members of the cluster and must have the value of interval ranges from 0 to 1. The Data used to implement this method is the temperature data and the duration of the intensity of the sunlight on the 8 city in East Java which is obtained from the online database BMKG. The expected results of the implementation of this method is to determine the region where only part of East Java that have the potential to design PV in order to optimize the utilization of new and renewable energy.
