Abstract :
The study is done to classify program recommendations study for a candidate new students based on psychology tests in pln institute of technology .The implementation method k-nearest neighbor used as the classification methods by seeking the nearest distance of the data will be evaluated with k neighbors its closest in the data training .The result is a system can be recommend a course of study in accordance with their interests and their talent and the attribute of having been determined .The results of the implementation of algorithm k-nn get the result accuracy 72 % .Where the level of accuracy of is obtained of the value of k = 3
