Abstract :
Simalungun regency is a regency located in North Sumatra that has many tourist attractions.However, there are still many people who do not know what tourism is in Simalungun Regency.Therefore this is a problem because of the lack of tourist information in both information and android-based tourism mapping.In determining the nearest route to the tour itself using the A* (Star) Algorithm.The A*(Star) algorithm is an algorithm that is able to search for the shortest route by searching for the lowest cost value.System design technique using UML tools method (Unified Modelling Languange), testing technique in the system using Blackbox Technique.The result of this study is a search system for nearby attractions of Simalungun Regency using android-based A*(Star) Algorithm.
