Abstract :
Heat exchangers is a tool which is used to transfer the heat due to the difference in temperature, such as from the high temperature to low temperature or low temperature to high temperature. This Exchanger?s function is for cooling down the hot oil out the upper and Thrust Guide Bearing with the fluida. The oil and fluida will follow in the heat exchanger where the fluida will absorb the heat of the oil. With the poor quaity of the Renun river water that is used as the heat absorption media, so PT. PLN(Perssero) the generating unit control sektor of Renun Pandan takes his action with in changing the cleaning method on the heat exchanger to prevent the damage and corotion in these components, especially in Upper-Thrust Guide Bearing in the Generator. The exchanger of the cleaning in this method is expected can give impact for the performance of the heat exchanger in treansfering the heat become more optimal and makes the heat exchanger usage age becomes longer than before. The cleaning brush method produces the avarage scores of LMTD from 20,43 K to15,24 K, The Balancy Calor to release the heat of the oil that is from from 628639,52 J/s to 815096,87 J/s, and heat absorption by water from 345232,89 J/s to 466075,55 J/s, the score of the overal Heat Transfer 59199,6 W?m^2 K to menjadi 38981,61 W/m^2K, The efektivitas Heat of heat exchanger 0,50 to 0,74.
