Abstract :
Choosing players on a team for a particular sport, such as football, is not a simple task to do. The right decision in choosing to decide who is the suitable player to play for the team among the many candidates. As a result, the manual team selection process is time consuming, difficult and possibly confusing due to manual procedures and personal assessments which can lead to undesirable results. Based on the problems that occur, an application-based player selection support application will be built which is able to manage player data management activities, player ratings and player selection. The method applied is the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART). From the results of making this application, the results will be obtained that become decisions in the form of playerrecommendations, so that this application is expected to help coaches in selecting players for starting eleven who will compete.
