Abstract :
Heat exchanger the heat transfer function of a high temperature to low temperature, one example of a heat exchanger used in electricity generation industry is HPH (High Pressre Heater). PLTU Banten 3 Lontar Unit 2 has 3 HPH (High Pessure Heater) are functioning as the initial feedwater heater before it enters the boiler in order to alleviate and improve the performance of the boiler as well as increase the efficiency of the overall system in the plant. In this thesis performed calculations and analysis of the heat transfer rate and effectiveness of the before and after conditions performed overhaul. Obtained a value of ? HPH 1, 2, 3 prior to the overhaul of 0.727, 0.492, 0.675 and after overhaul of 0.730, 0.494, 0.676 seen from the results of the calculations are an increase in value of ? on HPH 1, 2, 3 of 0.003 0.002 0.001 this means that the activities of the overhaul is a solution to improve the performance of HPH (High Pessure Heater).
