Abstract :
The implementation of Augmented Reality technology as the introduction and learning of the molecular shape of chemical compounds can help add information and knowledge of the object of combining several chemical compounds. To produce Augmented Reality objects with the Marker Based Tracking method. Tests with different types of marker patterns and directed camera-directed cameras. There are 16 different types of markers in each marker with different compound names, namely Sulfur, Potassium Nitrate, Nitric Acid, Carbon Dioxide, Acetic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Chlorosulfic Acid, Sulfuric Acid, Carbonated Water, Hydrochloric Acid, Coal Tar, Ammonia, Calcium Carbonate, Ethanol, Baking Soda, And Sulfanilamide. The marker can only be read by the camera with a minimum distance of 20 cm. If it is too far or obstructed by an object covering it, the 3d Compound object will not appear. There are still many students and students who do not know the shape of the compound molecule which causes student and student grades to drop. As far as knowledge about compound molecules can only be seen in textbooks at school and well-known information on the internet, there is no educational, interactive and interesting information that makes students and students less understanding of compound molecules. With this in mind, this study tries to create interactive and interesting compound molecular information facilities, in the form of an android application using Augmented Reality technology
