Abstract :
The 2013 Basic Health Research Data (Riskesdas) shows the prevalence of mental-emotional disorders with symptoms of depression and anxiety at the age of 15 reaching 14 million people. This figure is equivalent to 6 percent of Indonesia's population. Meanwhile, the prevalence of severe mental disorders such as schizophrenia reaches 600 thousand. The very rapid development of computers and the lack of understanding of the disease then made a webbased expert system that concludes the results of the solution in the form of a diagnosis as decided by an expert. The system created is an application that is used to diagnose schizophrenia and the diagnosis is done by analyzing symptom input. The diagnosis results give an output in the form of the name of the type of disease along with the probability value of the percentage generated based on the symptoms chosen. The PHP programming language for building this application and the MySQL database for storing data, while the inference
method uses the Dempster Shafer uncertainty method, which is a method based on a trust function and plausible thinking. Expert system to diagnose schizophrenia is an application that can analyze schizophrenia based on symptoms that are selected by the user with a simple appearance so it is easy
for users to understand, and can be accessed by many users.
