Abstract :
In the material auxiliary steam soot blower tube has found damage in the form of the leaking one piece tube. The condition of the tube has leaked experiencing thinning of the walls as well as there is corrosion on the tube. To find out the root causes and mechanisms of failure of the tube, then do research as well as studies that include visual observation and analysis of several such testing testing testing metalografi of violence, in order to know the structure of micro and macros, as well as testing the OES to know the chemical composition, and SEM-EDX to know the content of chemical elements deposits on the outside auxiliary steam soot blower tube. From the testing that has been done on the tube leak occurred due to pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking resulting in the presence of small leaks and cracking hardness testing later in the note that the tube is experiencing the decline in violence from 77 HRB be 75 HRB.
