Abstract :
PLTU consists of various main components, one of the main components of the PLTU is the condenser. The performance of the condenser is stated to be good if the heat transfer process that occurs in the condenser goes well. The performance of the condenser can be affected by the cleanliness of the cooling water pipes, condenser vacuum pressure, and heat loads that occur in the condenser. Condenser pipe cleaning in the PLTU unit is very important so that the efficiency and effectiveness of the condenser heat exchanger is maintained properly. This research was conducted to determine the efficiency of the condenser vacuum and the heat rate value of the turbine based on the performance of the condenser before and after the overhaul. To determine the value of the turbine heat rate using the load balance calculation method on the condenser and steam power of the turbine output, as well as the vacuum efficiency of the condenser and cleanliness factor by using a steam table to determine the heat enthalpy value. The results obtained by cleanliness factor after overhaul increased from 44.28% to 52.6%, so it was followed by an increase in condenser vacuum efficiency from 93.11% to 93.54% and the turbine heat rate also decreased from 1640.72 Kkal / kWh to 1604.02 kcal / kWh.
