Abstract :
The process of determining articles for a crime requires knowledge from a legal expert. The limitation of experts and also human memory can cause errors in taking reasoning so that if there are officers who are not experienced but at that time it is necessary to determine the criminal article is felt to be one of the obstacles in determining the criminal article appropriately. In addition, there is no system can assist officers to determine criminal articles, so that to adjust the facts obtained from suspects in the criminal article, they still have to search from various sources such as records of existing criminal cases and law books of ITE. Expert systems are systems that adopt human knowledge to computers. In this study, the method used is the forward chaining method where the search process from the premise leads to final conclusions. The legal material used is Law Number 11 of 2008 which has changed into Law Number 19 of 2016. This study aims to facilitate law enforcers in determining ITE criminal acts based on the characteristics and types of crimes committed. The development of this application uses PHP and MySQL. Based on this research, results were obtained in the form of applications that could determine the ITE crime article by displaying articles of violations and demands along with criminal sanctions and fines.
