Abstract :
Data redundancy that occurred at the STT - PLN Library which was caused by the use of two library automation systems that were run simultaneously. is a product of SLIMS (Senayan Library Management System) different versions, namely SLIMS version 4 (Senayan) and SLIMS version 7 (Cendana). The updated version of Senayan to Cendana which is conducted by the STT-PLN library caused data redundancy and since then both systems have been used today. Redundancy data causes data owned by the STT - PLN library to be inaccurate. On each system There is a very large amount of data with total data in the Senayan database a total of 202,290 data records and a total Cendana database a total of 210,174 data records. And both database has a different database structure making it suitable for use manually or with SQL queries only Therefore we need a system to merge and merge data to overcome data redundancy in the database system. Web service technology offers convenience in bridging the system without questioning the difference in technology used by each source in this case web services can be used to develop and merge data. Web services have several architectures, one of which is REST (State Transfer Representation). The result of this research is the application of REST architecture to a web service system to migrate and merge databases that are proven to be used for handling all the data of STT ? PLN library with a very short time and have 0 rate error
