Abstract :
PLTU has several main components, one of which is a boiler. If there is a decrease in efficiency in the boiler, then the electricity produced decreases. One of the ways to increase the efficiency of the boiler by keeping the high pressure heater and as a medium for using the heater uses steam extraction at the high pressure turbine. High pressure heater functions to increase the temperature before entering the economizer so that this boiler work is more effective. At PLTU 2 Labuan, it has 3 high pressure heaters which take steam extraction through steam high pressure turbine extraction and intermediate pressure turbines. If high pressure heater experiences outservice constraints, it will affect the heat rate of the power plant. In actual conditions the heat rate value at Labuan PLTU 2 has a value of 7597,078 kJ / kWh and the variation pattern of heat rate conditions is much better than the actual condition, this condition occurs in variations 2 and 3 outservice with a value of 5182,473 kJ / kWh.
