Abstract :
Condenser at PT. PJB UP Muara Tawar Block 5 is a component that aims to condense the turbine output heat vapor. The type of condenser used is Surface Condenser where the turbine output steam and cooling media in the form of sea water are not mixed. Because the cooling media used by seawater, there are some problems and constraints on the condenser. One of the problems that occurs is the increase in the condenser pressure drop which is suspected due to the condenser tube clogging due to the dirty sea water cooling factor. From the explanation of the above problem, it is necessary to maintain condenser to maintain the condenser performance. From the results of this study it was found that after maintenance of the condenser cleaning tube there was a decrease in pressure drop from 1.72 bar to 1.66 bar followed by an increase in efficiency from 62.6% to 65.1%, cleanliness of the tube 84.4% to 85 , 3% and there was a decrease in heat condenser load from 128,916 MW to 116,787 MW. In the maintenance of replacements and the addition of ball taprogge there was a decrease in pressure drop from 1.663 bars to 1.602 bars followed by an increase in efficiency from 66.2% to 68.8%, cleanliness of the tube 85.3% to 86.7% and a decrease in heat condenser load from 126,700 MW to 111,113 MW.
