Abstract :
One of the supporting components of Coal Fired Steam Power Plant (CFSPP) Banten 3 Lontar is Air Pre Heater, CFSPP using rotary LAP (Ljungstrom Air Pre Heater) 10320/2200 type as a heat exchanger which utilizes heat from flue gas boiler with a temperature of 3840C to heat (heat exchanger) the combustion air in the furnace with a temperature of 9850C. One of the causes of the high heat loss from flue gas is the low performance of the Air Pre Heater due to the heat transfer factor, the air flow temperature above 300C and the Economizer outlet below 3840C. For load 285 MW APH B before OH Effectiveness is 0.7603, while for after OH is 0.6891, there is a decrease in effectiveness of 9.37%. The effectiveness factor decreases due to the high temperature of the air inlet Pre Preheater with 350C air temperature and the factor of the low temperature flue gas outlet Air Pre Heater with a temperature of 1680C. This study aims to determine the effectiveness before (February 19 - March 19 2018) and Effectiveness decrease after (April 17 - May 17) Overhaul with Max, Min, Average load on Air Pre Heater unit 2 Banten 3 Power Plant Lontar.
