Abstract :
The development of information technology has made changes in several fields such as agriculture, especially in terms of determining the type of disease and disease management. The need for precise, accurate, and fast information is increasingly needed in efforts to increase the production of agricultural commodities, especially for cocoa plants, bearing in mind that the diagnosis process is still done manually and often experiences difficulties in diagnosing diseases. Therefore, this research was made to help the process of diagnosing and accelerating the treatment of cocoa plants. The purpose of this application is to apply an expert system on applications that are implemented in the diagnosis of cocoa plant diseases. The development of this expert system uses the naïve bayes classifier method, which is a simple probability classifier that applies the Bayes theorem with a high assumption of dependence to find the desired determination. The results of this application are expected to help mulyojati farmer group managers and cocoa farmers in terms of diagnosing cacao plant diseases quickly and automatically with the naïve bayes classifier method
