Abstract :
In traveling, tourists often experience problems in finding the nearest route of a tourist attraction. To overcome these problems the authors use the Simple Hill Climbing method to find the nearest point. Simple Hill Climbing algorithm is a method of determining the nodes that have been given a distance between nodes, by comparing existing nodes based on the selection of the closest distance from the current position. The Simple Hill Climbing method is applied in the Padang City Tourism Geographic Information System to get the closest distance to a tourist attraction. It is expected that with the application of the Padang city tourism geographic information system it can make it easier to search for the shortest route search for a tourist attraction location that is applied directly to google maps to get real distances and routes.
