Abstract :
The problem that is often faced by catfish breeders is the cultivation of catfish that is still not good and even still often occurs in the selection of fish breeds until the calculation of the number of catfish seedlings, so it is necessary to create a system that is able to solve the problem. This study aims to produce a system that can automatically identify and count the number of catfish seedlings based on computers. Designing a detector for the number of catfish seedlings using a webcam. This detection system uses a paralon pipe on top of which has been installed a webcam that will capture images on the pipe then the catch is sent in realtime to the raspberry pi 3 and processed using the Backgound Subtraction method. Background Subtraction is the process of reducing the background that can detect motion. The results of the number of catfish seedlings will be displayed in realtime through the LCD monitor
