Abstract :
The process of reading stand kWh meter in Indonesia is still done
manually. The manual process caused several problems. Although at this time
the process of reading the kWh meter has been assisted with a meter recording
application, the process is still done manually. This research will develop the
system by using raspberry pi as a reading system. The reading results are sent
to the kWh meter stand number data storage server. The data can be seen in a
website application to facilitate monitoring. The process of taking a stand kWh
meter image is assisted with lighting and determining the distance of the image
capture. Template matching is used as a method of character recognition of the
kWh meter stand number using the largest correlation value. The results of the
character recognition show the accuracy of the introduction of the kWh meter
stand number that is equal to 94% of the reading of the 50kWh meter stand test
images
