Abstract :
In a steam power plant, a major component of the material in the pulverizer unit 2 of UBOH Banten PLTU 3 Lontar is found where there is damage to the scrapper material in the pulverizer. The scrapper material that experiences wear and tear damage which causes the scrapper to not perform optimally. In the long run this can cause more severe damage, namely this scrapper material is broken. Considering the importance of the scrapper in the pulverizer at a Electric steam power plant, the writer conducts an examination and research on the scrapper material that has been damaged by several testing methods including chemical composition analysis to determine the elements contained in the scrapper, hardness analysis (Rockwell Method) to determine the hardness , tensile testing and Aus test to determine the strength and strain of the scrapper. Where expected from the analysis can reveal the damage process and the cause of why the component can be damaged and experience failure and then concluded in the future so that this material can be repaired in the field as well as material standars
