Abstract :
The process of hiring employees at PT. Virama Karya requires a long time, which
causes many applicants who are not selected for 1 (one) applicant takes 2 (two)
weeks and there is no method to determine the recruitment of employees which
results in the process of hiring less effective and efficient. This study aims to
produce a web-based decision support system application to simplify the process
of determining new employees and implement the profile matching method in the
recruitment system of PT. Virama Karya Jakarta. Matching Profile is a
comparison process between the competencies of prospective employees with
reference competencies so that they can find differences in their competencies,
also known as gaps, and the smaller the gap resulting from the comparison
process above, the higher the weight value, which means it has a greater chance
in becoming a new employee candidate. The final result of the calculation using
the profile matching method is a ranking that can be used as a reference to
determine new employees by looking at the highest value applicants.
