Abstract :
Gas Turbine as one of the main components in the combined cycle power plant system serves to move the generator that can generate electricity. Gas Turbine in the morning, noon and night on the maximum load setting changes the output power. To get maximum and constant output power, it is necessary to increase or decrease the supply of fuel into the system. So that the Thermal Efficiency of Gas Turbine experiences changes that causes waste of fuel. Thermal Efficiency Analysis of Gas Turbine is needed in the morning, noon and night on the maximum load which aims to find out when the Thermal Efficiency of Gas Turbine experiences the highest and lowest points. And to find out the causes and solutions for how to overcome changes in output power and Thermal Efficiency of Gas Turbines to remain constant. The method used in the calculation of Thermal Efficiency of Gas Turbines using the Actual Brayton Cycle. From the results of the analysis obtained in april, may and june the Thermal Efficiency of Gas Turbines experienced the highest point at night is 32.42%, 33.47% and 32.48%. The second highest point at morning is 32.38%, 33.26% and 31.92%. Then the Thermal Efficiency of Gas Turbine the lowest point at noon is 32.15%, 32.96% and 31.91%. Changes in Thermal Efficiency of Gas Turbines are caused by Ambient Air Temperature that changes every time.
