Abstract :
This research was conducted to improve the vertical agriculture watering process
which only depends on the scheduled times. The watering process is converted into
an Arduino Mega-based automation process that adjusts to the value of temperature,
humidity and soil moisture in vertical agriculture. In this automatic watering, the Adaline
algorithm is applied to determine the duration of the water pump activation. This
method will determine the duration of the pump's activation is belong to short, long, or
inactive. Information about temperature, air humidity, soil moisture and duration of the
activation of the water pump, can be monitored by vertical farm owners through an
Android-based application. Through validation testing, with the Adaline algorithm on
this automatic watering, an accuracy value of 91.7% was produced.
